    This is a key leadership position within the company's logistics organization, reporting directly to the Senior Vice President of Logistics. This position will require an experienced multi-site distribution and logistics operations leader that is able to drive results in a fast paced and demanding growth environment, leveraging his/her strong interpersonal and leadership skills. Key to success in this position is the ability to lead the company's distribution sites throughout North America and deliver results in quality, cost, inventory management and safety that ultimately contribute favorably towards an enhanced customer shopping experience.
    This role will be responsible for;
  • The operational leadership of 6+ North American based distribution centers and additional domestic/international sites as required to support growth projections and distribution strategies.
  • The management leadership responsibility for all in-bound and out- bound logistics functions within the distribution centers in order to meet/exceed the company's inventory management, and cost objectives.
  • The efficient use of equipment and resources to help ensure that the business meets its transportation and logistics cost objectives related to domestic carriers, international freight / demurrage and inter site transportation costs.
  • Driving operational efficiency improvements, cost reduction efforts, and process improvement initiatives across the company's global distribution center network.
  • The preparation of annual budgets, operating goals/objectives for the distribution sites and participate in the development of logistics operations annual strategic initiatives.
  • The regular preparation of financial and other management performance indicator information to senior leadership and maintaining a no surprises environment.
  • The management of people and resources through exemplary leadership, employee appraisal systems, communication, and performance management techniques.
  • The successful implementation and use of advanced supply chain, continuous improvement, distribution and logistics tools/technologies/methodologies in order to help the company deliver results in quality, cost, inventory management and safety.
  • Ensuring the effective leverage, utilization, and implementation of its operating systems related to ERP and Logistics Execution Systems tied to the management of the company's global distribution sites.
  Requirements:
 
  • 10+ Years of professional experience related to distribution management, supply chain and logistics management.
  • 5+ Years of experience with multi-site (3+ sites domestic and international) distribution management responsibility.
  • Strong experience leveraging, utilizing and implementing warehouse management systems (WMS, LMS, YMS) and other enterprise systems in a multi-site distribution setting.
  • Demonstrated background leveraging lean-based supply chain, logistics and continuous improvement tools / methodologies to drive performance improvements.
  • Demonstrated hands on experience balancing quality, cost and customer experience expectations in driving performance improvements within the workgroup and cross-functionally.
  • Solid project management, team facilitation, and excellent communication skills.
  • BS in Engineering, Supply Chain, Logistics and/or Business.
  • Bilingual, English and Spanish preferred.
