    Reports to: VP, Finance
    Recommends strategy for functional and business units they support and ensures the implementation of high-end, business-wide, critical strategy set by senior management. Provides guidance, planning and direction for functional units they support. Directs and administers the business unit's financial operations including managing risk and maximizing profits and returns on investment. Manages the preparation and review of budgets, financial reporting and may recommends investment opportunities. Proactively allocates resources and maintains and controls expenses. Performs all duties inherent in a managerial role.
    Responsibilities:
  • Develops and implements policies and procedures for Planning/Forecasting, Pricing, Reporting, etc. Ensures adherence to Corporate Finance & Accounting policies/procedures and government reporting requirements. Ensures compliance with applicable Federal/state/local tax laws/regulations/requirements and corporate policy.
  • Direct the analysis for the strategic, annual and Operating Plan processes and the monthly forecasts and close. Reviews, analyzes and interprets financial reports, provides financial evaluation and recommendations to management of business cases. Oversees the preparation of financial forecasts and modeling for acquisition activity including P&L, total cash flow analysis, purchase price. Performs due diligence on acquisition candidates.
  • Ensures that risks, exposures, and key business issues are identified, accounted for, and resolved. Recommends the improvement of collection and payment terms to management. Directs the research, preparation and presentation of business case analyses and recommendations for capital expenditures, and working capital requirements. Recommends and prepares a variety of regular and ad hoc financial reports/statements/analysis for management's review/use.
  • Directs analyses of revenue, profit, margins, competitive and other product data providing management with key financial data and trend information. Implements established procedures and pricing plans to ensure control over pricing for new and existing customers. Recommends pricing strategies and plans where appropriate.
  • Assists in development and ensures implementation, adherence to internal policies, procedures and plans. This includes assisting in developing and improving financial reporting system functionality.
  • Performs all duties inherent in a managerial role. Ensures appropriate staff training, prepares staff performance reviews, recommends and approves salary actions, hiring, terminations and promotions. Ensures the preparation of the departmental budget and compliance with approved budgetary constraints.
  Requirements:
 
  • A minimum of 8-10 years progressive accounting/finance experience is required, 2 of which in a management capacity.
  • Experience required in strategic planning, budgeting and managing varied financial disciplines.
  • Bachelors Degree in Business, Accounting, Finance or a related field is required.
  • International experience in Latin America required.
  • CPA or MBA preferred.
