    Highly challenging Director, Human Resources opportunity with a top notch global consumer products company with regional headquarters in Broward County, FL.
    You would be a key business partner responsible for directing the Human Resources activities and providing administrative support for our Latin America Division employing 2000+ throughout Latin America as well as a small Florida regional staff. You will be a hands on strategist with responsibilities for developing and maintaining an overall HR strategy for the Region consistent with corporate HR objectives. Duties include:
  • Develop and maintain an overall HR strategy for the Region consistent with Region Business and Corporate HR Objectives.
  • Communicate and administer HR policies and procedures. Ensure company is complying with all local labor laws and regulations.
  • Research and make recommendations as appropriate to ensure that region HR policies and programs are effective and affordable.
  • Provide direct HR salary/benefit/administrative support for the Latin America Headquarters office (20 employees) and for those countries where there is no HR function (Southern Region- 50+ employees).
  • Provide ancillary support to larger LA countries by coordinating significant HR issues, evaluating and benchmarking compensation, performing talent inventories, and ensuring best practices. Train new HR managers and lead the professional development for the Region HR function as required.
  • Track and report key HR data.
  • Recruit for key positions. Administer any Ex-Patriate programs.
  Requirements:
 
  • You must be fluent in Spanish - and exposure to Portuguese is preferred.
  • Up to 50% travel to Latin America.
  • Strongwritten and verbal skills.
  • 8-12 years directexperience in compensation, benefits, employee relations, and HR generalist.
  • Specific recent geographical experience in Latin America is a must.
  • Ensure compliance with local labor laws.
  • Bachelor's Degree required with SPHR or PHR certification preferred.
