  Financial Planning processes for Latin America including SBE in Mexico, Venezuela, Miami and Colombia. Acts as business partner for the Regional President in order to create value in business ventures, provides financial leadership in forecasting regional activities and improving the utilization of capital. Directs the financial function for the entire LA region with an emphasis on achieving set goals for "Order to Cash" and EBITDA (less CAPEX).

  • Directs the Regional financial processes and internal controls to ensure prompt and accurate managerial and legal financial reporting.
  • Provides specific financial advice on short-term and long-term financial objectives, policies and actions.
  • Directs the maintenance of a system of internal controls.
  • Directs preparation and evaluation of investment proposals.
  • Directs all regional treasury and tax functions in coordination with Corporate functions.
  • Acts as the "conscience" of the management team and ensures that all general and corporate financial policies, procedures and internal controls are followed.
  • Contributes to corporate operational and policy decisions.
  • Directs the planning process for the Regional Office and the LA region.
  • Analyzes financial statements, interprets trends and provides necessary commentary on results of operations to the senior management.
  • Reviews the negotiation of all major contracts and commitments. Reviews regional AR's and AFC's for accuracy, completeness, profitability, and compliance with AFC and AR policy.
  • Supervises the monthly balance sheet reviews to ensure accuracy of financial statements and related provisions in accordance with USGAAP.
  • Develops and maintains procedures for risk management of foreign exchange.
  • Supervises and develops staff by proving timely feedback and challenging assignments.
  • Oversees the region controller in the preparation of financial schedules for monthly Management Operating reviews, and the annual GLRP.
  • Performs additional projects as assigned.
  • Responsible for evaluating new business opportunities throughout Latin America.
  Requirements:
 
  • Bachelor's degree is required in Business Administration with an Accounting major.
  • CPA, CA, CMA desirable.
  • MBA is highly desirable.
  • Must have 10 to 15 years of financial/accounting related experience in a multinational environment.
  • Experience with managing cash flows/financial exposure in a multicurrency environment.
  • Industry background in consumer durables is highly desirable.
  • Must possess solid communications skills (both written and oral) in both English and Spanish.
  • This position requires extensive travel (25%) throughout Latin America.
