    The client company will be setting up a US base in the Miami area, which will be the centre of US operations; from where they will launch their technology in the USA, create business relationships and licensing agreements and test and further develop their products. They will work in consumer, government and military markets.
    The role of General Manager (Interim) will be a central general management role probably running June-October, when they expect the interim manager to have found and appointed a full-time replacement.
    The candidate will be an experienced manager with a strong understanding of technical and commercial projects. They will have excellent planning and organizational skills and be a self-starter who would need to be resourceful.
    The candidate would need to have confident communications skills and use these to manage relationships with workers, fellow managers, liaising with potential customers and working with suppliers.
    It would be the responsibility of the candidate to run a cost effective operation, to deliver projects as directed by the executive and the company's strategy. You would need to manage all office and workshop staff, policies and procedures ensuring to embrace best practice where appropriate from head office.
    You will need to travel within the US at times and be confident to leave the office running in your absence. Some travel to the UK will be required and you will need to commit to the highest standards of performance and productivity doing what's required and always going the extra mile to achieve the right result.
    You will set up the office in the first instance (property, leases, attorneys); recruit a small team (temporary and workers); implement all statutory and procedural requirements; office procedures, rules and processes; HR management proof of experience in these areas will be important.
    The successful candidate will be a champion and evangelist of the Cliet companys technology and its products. You will be expected to ensure that we have the right infrastructure, resource, management, controls and team to contribute to the successful launch and implementation of the long-term strategy of the company.
  • Liaison for main visits ensuring that all logistics and vehicle preparations are fulfilled

  • 10 years experience working in a vehicle workshop/race team/engineering environment
  • They will need a working knowledge of the US
  • Experience with marine/boating would be a distinct advantage
  • Experience running an office/your own regional or state office preferably in Miami/Florida
  • Experience of working as a profit centre remote from head office
  • Experience of HR management, financial management and reporting
  • They need an understanding of vehicle service/maintenance
