  Assist the Senior Legal Counsel for Latin America in providing legal advice and services in connection with commercial activities of the Latin America business.   Provide advice to Latin America business unit/management on BCS compliance topics and review and approve agreements on contractual relationships with third parties, including medical care professionals, distributors, etc.  Manage collection efforts for the business.

MAIN JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Advise business clients and management on BCS compliance.
  • Negotiate, prepare and approve contracts and agreements.
  • Manage collection efforts.
  • Assist in the development of procedures, guidelines, templates (contracts, etc.) and training programs on compliance and contract management and related matters.
  • In collaboration with the compliance team, prepare and conduct meetings and training sessions for new hires, coordinators, business units at HQ, in the field, by WebEx or web-based training.
  • Assist compliance team in the development of new technologies (Hot Docs, Website, LAFS, etc.), guidelines and procedures to ensure effective organization of activities.
  • Collaborate with the clinical, quality and regulatory groups to develop procedures and guidelines for the conduct of clinical trial in Latin America (where it is directly related or influences the compliance group's activities, such as contracts, patient consents, protocols, etc.)
  • Act as the Latin America liaison of US Risk Management for clinical trial and product insurance matters.
  • Review and approve marketing and sales materials/programs for compliance with BCS and applicable laws.  Assist marketing and sales personnel in developing programs and materials. 
  • Act as liaison with Corporate HQ intellectual property group in managing trademark applications and prosecutions. Assist with other intellectual property matters.
  • Collaborate with legal counsels on the above matters when additional legal input or group approach is required.
  Requirements:
 
  • Strong background and/or education in the field of administration, business or law
  • Fluent English
  • Fluent Spanish    
  • Language Skills: Portuguese
  • 5 plus years practice in the field of administration/business and/or legal    
  • Direct client contact
  • American multi-national
