  Position Objective                  
Partner with cost center management in the areas of business planning, financial reporting, internal controls and cost management.

Typical Activities:
  • Develop and enforce controls related to contracting and transacting with advertising vendors
  • Assist management with staffing models, cost allocations, and ad hoc projects
  • Balance sheet account and inter-company expense analysis
  • Monthly close process
  • Regular variance and ad hoc analysis
  • Distribute and review financial reports with cost center managers
  • Maintain internal control environment with respect to documentation, testing, and remediation activities
  • Partner with cost center managers to manage costs and improve productivity
  Requirements:
  Candidate Profile:
Must have 5-7 years experience encompassing the following accounting and finance responsibilities:
  • Accounting: internal controls, general ledger account analysis, accrual accounting, revenue recognition, bad debt analysis, inter-company allocations. 
  • Finance: resource planning, budgeting, metric development and tracking, financial analysis, capital project management, cost allocation methodologies, contract analysis/negotiation.

Other important attributes:
  • Problem-solving mindset with the ability to diagnose issues and work them to closure
  • Creative idea generator to solve business problems and devise alternative solutions
  • Knowledge of process best practices as well as internal control techniques
  • Master organizer who can manage special projects along with recurring activities
  • Strong writing and documentation skills; can complete process documents with little supervision
  • Deep process mapping and flowcharting skills using Visio or comparable software
  • Advanced user of Excel and Access to do data analysis and build models
  • Demonstrated ability to transition into a future leadership role within our organization

  • Successful and timely implementation of new control techniques and other process improvements
  • Ability to recognize and solve problems independently
