    THE ORGANIZATION: Our client is a consumer products company with a major operation in the Southeastern United States which is where this position is located. The revenues are in the $150 million dollar range and above and the company is international/multi-national in nature. They have multiple locations within the US and in many other countries around the world.
  • Contribute to the development of the company’s budgetary and strategic goals, through the management of the budgeting process, and the completion of financial analyses of company performance against budget and forecast.
  • Co-management of the strategic planning process with the COO and President of the Division.
  • Management of the forecasting process.
  • Ensure that the financial information necessary for use by the company management and directors is prepared to a consistently high standard. This is to be achieved by the management and preparation of this information, and adherence to company and regulatory policies, procedures and standards and U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principals (GAAP).
  • Management of the Division’s assets and liabilities to ensure effective control over resources and ensure that there are adequate reserves for risks/exposures.
  • Management of costs and expenses to ensure spending is controlled and overall costs are maintained at levels which achieve business profitability goals.
  • Ensure that the company has adequate cash on hand to finance its operations through short and long range forecasting of cash flow requirements.
  • Ensure that the company’s reporting requirements are complied with. This includes ensuring that all monthly, quarterly, six-month and full- year reports are prepared and on time and in accordance with the appropriate specifications for both the Division and corporate office.
  • Ensure that excellent relationships are maintained with the company’s bankers (working in partnership with the treasury department).
  • Ensure that all local taxation regulations and company legal requirements are met.
  • Operate as both a leader and team player in support of the company’s vision, goals and objectives.
  Requirements:
 
  • An undergraduate degree in Finance or Accounting and a CPA is desired. An MBA in Finance preferred.
  • The ideal candidate for the role should possess not less than 12 years of finance experience, with the last five years in a senior financial management or controllership responsibility in an operating company.
  • The person will be bilingual in English/Spanish with exposure to South American markets and have the ability to travel as necessary.
  • The candidate will be knowledgeable with the various aspects of financial reporting and able to “hit the ground running”.
  • The person will be entrepreneurial in nature and work to provide financial guidance to line managers in operations, sales, etc.
